Congratulations to Gabriel Atem Deng (Booster Gift operation)

After MBA graduation, feb 2022. Congratulations !  

Following a field meeting with Gabriel Atem Deng in Juba (South Sudan), at the beginning of November 2019, we decided, with the association Grace Sud Soudan, to support this student in his training project. 

This is how our "booster gift" operation started. 

Enrolled in MBA finance at the University of Juba, Gabriel Atem Deng had to face, in 2020, 2021 and 2022, very high semester registration fees to pursue and complete his MBA. 

 

Due to the Covid19 pandemic, he lost his job and found himself without ressources. Along with the members of our association (confirmed during the 2020 GA) we decided to give support. We have corresponded regularly with Gabriel Atem Deng throughout his training process in Juba University. 

 

450 euros were sent to him (via Kenya) during the summer of 2020, then 450 euros again in February 2021. Two last shipments were made, in September 2021 (318 euros) and in January 2022 (last shipment of the equivalent of 310 dollars). 

This could cover the registration fees (in sharp increase) at the University of Juba. 

 

Perseverance and hard work payed off. 

Gabriel Atem Deng never gave up. 

He passed all the steps.

We accompanied him on his journey and corresponded very regularly with him. 

 

When the registration fees were increased during the course, we expressed our support and our commitment to his university supervision (statement support), so that the end of his MBA course was secured, until he obtained the expected degree.

In February 2022, Gabriel Atem Deng finally obtained his MBA from the University of Juba (photo attached on top of the article). Many students have given up along the way. 

Thanks to his determination and the continued support of our charity, Gabriel Atem was able to obtain his diploma. We congratulate him very warmly and we wish him the best! We look forward to seeing him again in 2023, during the next planned trip to Juba. Gabriel Atem Deng has expressed his gratitude to us on several occasions for the faithful support provided by Grace South Sudan, and he would like to collaborate in the field with our association in the years to come.
